Brand New Members' Blog!
Swansea People First have created a new 'Blog'
(which is a place on the internet to write down your thoughts) for our members in Swansea.
You can now read personal accounts of what they have been up to and what adults with a learning disability think about how they are treated and how they think we can make things better.
The blog can be found by clicking on the link below swanseapeoplefirst.blogspot.com where you will find the first entry by our Project Support Worker and Member Andrew Evans who introduces the blog.

Snakes and Ladders game pictures!
Swansea People First have been using their
'Healthy Message' Snakes and Ladders games around the Day Services in Swansea.
They have been very successful and healthy messages about Eating and Exercise are given as adults with learning disabilities learn about their health in a fun and enjoyable way.

The first two parts show the opening speeches, a demonstration of the upcoming EXTEND programme from Merthyr People First's Pat Ramm and the fantastic dancing display from service users of the Flexible Home Support Service performing a song from 'High School Musical'.

Swansea People First's Summer Newsletter is now available online for you to read.

The newsletter is full of pictures and information from our recent Annual Health Fair as well as details on what we've been up to over the last few months.
Also included is our new Member's Blog which is a short message from one of our members about the Project.

Health Fair Pictures!
Swansea People First's Annual Health Fair 2009 "Food, Fitness and Fun!" was held at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea on July 3rd 2009
It was a fantastic day and we had over 300 people attend.
There were 40 stands on all aspects of health and well-being as well as plenty of activities from Fitness and Exercise to displays of Dancing and our Fashion Show sponsored by BON MARCHE and PEACOCKS in the Morfa.

We would like to thank all of you who took part in the day as you all contributed to its success.
