AGM pics
The pictures from last month's
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING have now been uploaded to the PHOTOS section.
The night went very well and we had a great turnout. Swansea People First Co-Chairperson MARK OWENS did a fantastic job in chairing the event and Treasurer JULIAN HALL presented an accessible version of our annual accounts to the audience brilliantly.
Certificates for completion of last year's CRUSE 'Listening Skills' course were presented to SANDRA COE, EMMA TAMLIN, ANDREW EVANS, LOUISE ARMSTRONG and ALISON REES.They were all well-deserved.
We like to thank everyone who came and all the contributors who made presentations and speeches, including MARK JOHN WILLIAMS and GLAYNE WALKER from ALL WALES PEOPLE FIRST and DAVID DAVIES from the COMMUNITY DENTAL SERVICE.
See you all next year!

New Funding!
We are delighted to announce that a further funding bid to the Welsh Assembly Government via BILD has been successful!
A new round of the ADVOCACY GRANT SCHEME will fund the rolling out of the 'Leadership Course' that SPF Member Andrew Evans undertook last year to 6 more of our service users, as well as advocacy based training for staff and new equipment to aid in monitoring and evaluation of the Project.
We will receive a total of £4,995 and we are very excited at the prospect of developing the Project even further this year.

Pictures from our Liberty Stadium tour!
On January 14th 2009, Swansea People First had the pleasure of having a guided tour around the Liberty Stadium (home of both the Ospreys Rugby Team and Swansea City Football Club).
Former Wales player and friend of the Project,
Paul Thorburn, along with current players, Tommy Bowe, Ed Shervington and Tom Smith kindly showed our group of members through the changing rooms, down the tunnel and onto the pitch and dugouts as well as the trophy cabinets of both teams.
It was a highly enjoyable evening and we would like to thank the Ospreys for the opportunity.
Photographs from the tour have been added to the PHOTOS section.
